At Perry and Neblett, our ultimate goal is to ensure that our clients receive the justice they deserve. This can often mean fighting tirelessly on their behalf, even when faced with significant legal obstacles and challenges. We had the privilege of representing clients in an Appeal for a case that we had won for our clients at Trial when a Jury awarded a very favorable Jury Verdict.
We were able to secure an Appellate win from the Third District Court of Appeals – even though the Jury’s Verdict was considerably more than we had requested and much more than the Defendant argued was possible for the Jury to award.
Perry & Neblett’s attorneys David Avellar Neblett, Esq. B.C.S., James Mahaffey, Esq., and Melissa Palau, Esq. tied this case in Miami, Florida. This was a weeklong in person Trial during the “height of COVID” where everyone wore masks for the entire Trial. Tower Hill Signature Insurance Company fully denied our clients’ claim and the insurer was represented by attorneys Michael Monteverde and Paul Vickery from a well-established insurance defense firm, Zinober, Diana & Monteverde P.A., that tries cases throughout Florida.
Despite the challenges we faced during litigation, at Trial and in the Appeal, we were able to secure a Per Curium Affirmation from the Third District Court of Appeals. We are committed to continuing to fight for our clients until they receive the funds they are owed and that the Jury awarded to them.
This case and Appeal serves as a powerful reminder of the vital role that our team plays in fighting for justice and ensuring that the law is applied fairly and justly. We will continue to fight for our clients and stand by them every step of the way.
